What is a Strong Password?

A strong password is long, random, and unique to each site you use. Length contributes the most to overall security, which is why experts recommend using 16+ characters. Combine lowercase, uppercase, digits, and symbols to maximize strength and avoid personal information or dictionary words.

How StrongPass Works

StrongPass runs 100% locally in your browser. It uses the secure crypto.getRandomValues() API to generate high-entropy passwords. Nothing is stored, uploaded, or tracked — all processing happens on your device. The built-in strength meter calculates entropy based on length and character sets. You can also use the Strength Checker tab to evaluate any existing password.

Best Practices

  • Use one long, unique password for every website.
  • Store your passwords in a secure password manager like Bitwarden or 1Password.
  • Enable multi-factor authentication (2FA) wherever possible.
  • Avoid reusing passwords across multiple accounts.

Why StrongPass Is Safe

StrongPass never sends your passwords to any server. It does not log, store, or sync your generated passwords. Everything runs offline, inside your browser, ensuring maximum privacy and security.
