About StrongPass
StrongPass is a tiny suite of privacy-first security tools. Our password generator and strength checker run entirely in your browser β no accounts, no tracking, and nothing is uploaded to our servers.
Our Mission
Make security easy for everyone by building small, fast, and transparent tools that respect your privacy.
What Makes StrongPass Different
- Privacy by design: Generation and checks happen locally on your device.
- Speed: Lightweight pages and minimal JavaScript for instant results.
- Clarity: Straightforward UI, no dark patterns, no hidden data collection.
- Open approach: We explain how things work in plain language on our blog.
How It Works
Our generator uses the browserβs crypto.getRandomValues() for high-quality randomness when available, with a safe fallback where needed. The strength meter estimates entropy based on length and character set. Your on-page history is stored only in memory while the tab is open.
About Our Team
StrongPass is built by security-focused developers with expertise in cryptography, web security, and privacy-preserving design. Our team is committed to:
- Security expertise: All tools undergo security review and follow industry best practices
- Transparency: We explain our security decisions and implementation details on the blog
- Education: We provide comprehensive guides on password security, authentication, and online safety
- No tracking: We don't collect user data, analytics, or sell information
Trust & Credibility: StrongPass content is based on widely accepted security standards including NIST, OWASP, and modern authentication frameworks (FIDO2, WebAuthn). Our guides link to authoritative sources and expert recommendations.
Roadmap
- More utilities (e.g., passphrase generator, password policy tester)
- Accessibility enhancements and additional language support
- Optional privacy-friendly analytics to improve UX (with opt-out)
